Jack And The Magical Beanstalk

Spectrum WASP are joining Mansfield Hospitals Theatre Troupe for a magical journey with their pantomime show, “Jack And The Magical Beanstalk,” at the Mansfield Palace Theatre, Leeming Street, Mansfield, NG18 1NG. Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon, starting with a meet-up in the foyer at 1:30 pm before the performance kicks off at 2:00 pm. Enjoy complimentary ice creams provided by Spectrum WASP during the interval, and indulge in snacks and drinks available for purchase in the foyer—or feel free to bring your own. October Half-Term

The October half-term holidays held an exciting whirlwind of activities hosted by Spectrum WASP during the school holidays. We kicked off with a personalized tour of the Mansfield Town Football Stadium, which set the tone for the fun-filled days that followed. Our diverse lineup included everything from Boccia sessions with Pete, badminton with Matt, and first aid training with Paul, to cooking classes with Steph and drama club with Alan. We even ventured out for a spookily fun day at Sherwood Pines, and visited Ijump, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. As we look forward to even more engaging experiences, please keep an eye out for upcoming activities in our termly newsletter and remember to book early! From all of us—Sue, Jeni, Jess, and Maria—we wish our children, young people, and families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sunshine Warmth Melts Winter Blues

A BIG “Thank You” to National Grid for supporting our project “Sunshine warmth melts winter blues” with a £10’000 grant…With this we was able to keep our Children/Young people warm this winter with official Oodies for all Children/Young people and families at Spectrum WASP, this has made a huge difference in being able to stay warm and also be able to turn the heating down alongside the warm home packs which included draught excluders, socks, bleed keys, radiator foil and wheat packs just to name but a few items…We feel this grant has made tremendous difference in the current cost of living crisis.

Christmas Raffle

There are no words but just WOW…We are blown away by all the support that we have received on our 12 days of Christmas Raffle and at the Four Seasons Shopping Centre on Saturday 2^nd December with the Tombola/Guess the Sweeties in the Jar/Lucky Dip.
We have managed to raise a WHOOPING £2,592.30 in total and we just cannot believe it.

Spectrum WASP are thrilled to announce we received a Commendation at the #ChadBiz2023 Chad Business Awards on Thursday 30^th November and we are just BUZZING.
All our hard work has been recognised and we couldn’t be any prouder of our wonderful group.
We are now supporting over 200 Children/Young people this number is constantly growing.
Congratulations to all the winners on the evening and to those who also received Commendations.

Sue, Jeni & Jess from Spectrum WASP attended the Mansfield Chad Business Excellence Awards on Thursday 24^th November 2022 at the John Fretwell Complex – we were shortlisted as a finalist in the Mansfield Business in the Community Award Category.

We were up against some amazing competitors but we were so fortunate to have been chosen as the category WINNER!

The award was presented to us by the Mayor of Mansfield. To say we were thrilled is an understatement…

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of our Parents/Carers who took the time to fill out our Feedback form, without your valuable feedback as part of our application we may not have been successful in winning.
